September’s Sad Sentry

Was it yesterday, or last year
Or the decade before
That September was known
For the brass and brilliant flags

Waving summer goodbye?
There is a sorrow to September.

Gray billowing curtains

Escaped the brightest panes
And two hands held

Heaven

                         in

                                             their

                                                                          fall.

  1. September’s Sad Sentry gives one pause to stop and reflect on nature’s juweled profession of Summer, seeping into a season of meloncoly in a way. Lest we forget her cornicopia of gifts that tide us over the Winter’s grip. A thought provolking waltz down Falls road of season of collect of the harvest both in outdoor excurtions and bounty.

  2. The image of two, holding hands, jumping will forever be burned in my memory. It was one of the most touching things I have ever seen.

  3. It does have a certain saddness in it’s wisp of winds that carry the warmth of Summer’s joyous feel far away. This is a very nice piece in thoughts on moments of reflections.
