The Forehead Energy System - The Place of Intuition
On page 55, Gary and Linda write about the sixth energy center. They state that this center allows you to see more than your five senses can show you. It allows you to know the intentions of others…enables you to recognize opportunities, shifts you orientation from that of victim to your experiences to that of creator of your own experiences.”
This energy center has been called ‘The Third Eye” as well. Although the name for this area differs, there are commonalities in the understanding of what this energy center is all about. It is said to be the centre for clairvoyance, visions, and transcendence of time and space in thinking… and draws energy into the brain. This is the center that receives intuitive information about the world around you - as an “all-seeing eye”. it is seen as the place of imagination, creativity and intuition.
Over-sensitive people are imbalanced and take more energy in through this center. As well, people who have overactive forehead energy centers are known to have difficulty relating to the mundane things of life. When you feel yourself caught up in illusions and glass and addictions, this, too is a signal that too much energy is being received from this energy center. If it is closed, one can become self-centered, lacking in vision, continually putting labels on things, as well, this can lead us to literal interpretations, religious obsession and fundamentalist interpretations. A cue that one’s sixth energy center is struggling is that you can feel a tingling sensation in this area. Also, a tingling sensation in this area can be a knock at your door that intuition is trying to communicate with you.
(This is the same as with other energy centers and Goosebumps or chills).
This is the place of Intuition: that sense of knowing without reason. Intuition communicates through symbols, feelings, and yes, emotions but does not speak to us in a typically known language. It infers. We are born with intuition. It is a gift and as children, we used it often. As we aged, it often became overruled by logic and reason and often, but not too often, we get this sense in our stomach … a gut knowing, but we tend to doubt it, disregard it. But intuition is still there for our use. Like any unused muscle, it can be strengthened by being in the moment, being aware, surrendering ourselves to that peace that allows it its tongue.
Our bodies are incredible message-takers and givers. We can speak, infer with our bodies, and give facial and body cues. We have the use of our senses as awesome receptors of al kinds of information. But, where we get confused is whether to listen to our heads or hearts.
I was counseling a girl just now on the phone. She asked what she could do to know the difference between the bad voice and the good voice in her head. During the conversation, I said, “If we do not listen to our heart, our head will talk our leg off!”
“Every emotions is a physical experience…When energy leaves a energy center, you have physical sensations.” (p56) But, every time we do not follow our inner guide of intuition, we feel loss of energy, loss of power, and a sense of spiritual deadness. - Shakti Gawain
